Flour & Figures Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your use of the Flour & Figures mobile application, provided by Sleepycat Software LLC("Sleepycat Software," "we," "us," or "our").

By downloading or using Flour & Figures, you agree to these Terms.

1. Using Flour & Figures

Flour & Figures gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store through which you obtained it.

You may not copy, resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse Flour & Figures except where applicable law expressly permits it.

2. Free tier and Lifetime Pro

The free version includes the complete costing workflow, up to 20 Pantry items, two Components, two Products, and one Draft Quote with branded PDF export. Reaching a free limit does not delete or hide existing data; it prevents creating additional items of that kind until Lifetime Pro is unlocked.

Lifetime Pro is an optional one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited Quotes and Pantry items, reusable business branding, Quote status management and duplication, unbranded PDFs, and future Pro tools. It is not a subscription.

3. Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by Sleepycat Software.

Purchase restoration requires the same applicable store account used for the original purchase. Apple purchases do not transfer to Google accounts, and Google purchases do not transfer to Apple accounts.

Refund requests and payment disputes are handled according to the policies of the store that processed the purchase.

4. Your data

Flour & Figures stores your ledger, Quotes, and Business Profile locally on your device. You are responsible for safeguarding your device and for maintaining any backups available through your operating system or the app's backup export.

Deleting Flour & Figures, deleting data, losing the device, or experiencing device or storage failure may result in permanent loss of data. Flour & Figures does not currently provide cloud synchronization or independent cloud backups.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the Pantry, Components, Products, Quotes, customer details, notes, and other content you create using Flour & Figures.

You are responsible for ensuring that your content and your use of Flour & Figures comply with applicable laws and do not infringe the rights of others.

6. Pricing and accuracy

Flour & Figures helps you calculate costs and prepare customer Quotes. You remain responsible for reviewing ingredient prices, calculations, fees, discounts, tax, deposits, terms, and exported documents before relying on or distributing them.

Flour & Figures is not tax, accounting, legal, food-safety, or certified pricing advice. Do not rely on it where an error could cause injury, financial loss, regulatory noncompliance, or other material harm.

7. Ownership

Flour & Figures, including its software, design, branding, and other materials, is owned by Sleepycat Software or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Flour & Figures or grant rights beyond the limited right to use it.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Flour & Figures. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available on every device or operating-system version.

We may also update these Terms. The effective date above will be revised when updated Terms are published.

9. Disclaimer

Flour & Figures is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sleepycat Software disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Flour & Figures is a costing and document-generation tool. You remain responsible for reviewing cost breakdowns, Quotes, customer details, pricing, and exported PDFs before relying on or distributing them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sleepycat Software will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost data, lost profits, lost customers, or production problems arising from your use of Flour & Figures.

Our total liability relating to Flour & Figures will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Flour & Figures or ten U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so portions of these sections may not apply to you.

11. App Store Terms

Your use of Flour & Figures is also subject to the applicable terms of Apple App Store or Google Play. If these Terms conflict with mandatory app-store terms, the applicable app-store terms control.

For applications obtained through Apple App Store, Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Flour & Figures, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the applicable license terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the laws of your jurisdiction require otherwise.
